1Getting in touch
Write to support@persian360.com, or reply to any email we send you. For anything about your data, that address reaches the person who can act on it.
2What we hold, and why
| What | Why | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Your email address | It is how you sign in — the link goes there — and how we reach you about your account. | Performing our contract with you |
| An account identifier | A random ID. Everything else is keyed to it rather than to your email. | Performing our contract |
| Your vocabulary | Which words you have met, saved, or marked as known, and when they are next due for review. This is the product. | Performing our contract |
| Episodes you unlocked | So that what you paid for stays yours. | Performing our contract |
| Your token ledger | Every credit and debit, with what it was for. It is what your balance is calculated from, and what the fair-use limit reads. | Performing our contract; our legitimate interest in preventing abuse |
| Reports you send us | When you flag a wrong meaning or a broken line, we keep what you sent. | Our legitimate interest in fixing the product |
| Payment records | What you bought and when. The card itself never reaches us. | Legal obligation (tax and accounting) |
We do not build a profile of you for advertising, we do not sell data to anyone, and we do not use your vocabulary to train anything.
3What the extension can see
The extension is allowed to run on televika.com and imvbox.com only. It cannot read any other site you visit — that limit is written into the extension's manifest, and your browser enforces it, not us.
On those sites it reads the subtitle files the video player has already fetched, and the page's own identifier for what you are watching. It does not record video, does not capture audio, and does not take screenshots.
Most of what it produces stays on your own machine: parsed subtitles and your word states live in your browser's local database, and your settings in your browser's own sync storage. What reaches our server is what has to — your word states so they follow you between devices, and the ledger entries for what you spend.
4This website
No analytics, no advertising, no tracking cookies. The site keeps your sign-in token in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in; that is not shared with anyone.
One thing to be straight about: these pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts, which means Google's servers see your IP address when a page loads. That is the only third-party request the site makes.
5Who else processes it
We use a small number of companies to run the service. Each of them only gets what it needs to do its job.
| Who | What they do | What they see |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Hosting, the database, and the network in front of it | Everything the service stores, plus request metadata such as IP addresses |
| Stripe | Payments | Your payment details and email — they hold the card data, we never do |
| Resend | Sends our emails | Your email address and the message we send you |
| Anthropic | Runs the language model that prepares an episode — the meanings, transliterations and line translations you read while watching | The subtitle text of the episode being prepared — never your email, your account identifier, or your vocabulary |
Some of these process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, the transfer rests on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
6How long we keep it
- While your account exists — your vocabulary, entitlements, and ledger. They are what the account is.
- Seven years — records of what was paid, because Dutch tax law requires it. That is invoice-level information, not your learning data.
- When you ask us to delete — your email, your vocabulary, your review history, and your account go. What stays is the payment record above, with the account identifier detached from you.
7Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, hand it to you in a portable form, restrict what we do with it, or object to processing we base on a legitimate interest. Write to the address in section 1 and we will answer within a month.
If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or to the authority where you live.
8Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters to you, we will email you before it takes effect. The date at the top always says which version you are reading.
